BENBEN Eco-Vending

Introduction

The informal street traders’ market sector is probably the least supported section of small/micro businesses in South Africa today. Apart from the often unsightly mish mash of many street traders in close proximity to each other which reflects poorly on the urban landscape, the traders themselves often find themselves having to move on or even pack up shop for a myriad of reasons.
The BENBEN SOLAR Eco-Vending range of solutions comprise the following focused offerings:
• Eco-Solar Tuck Shop
• Eco-Chesa Nyama (Buy & Braai)
• Eco-PopCorn Maker
• Eco-Wash & Go
• Eco-Cut and Go
These products present a new era for the informal trader with an array on potential new business opportunities because they enable the trader to have a larger selection of business types that match the experience and dreams of the new business person/entrepreneur.
The Eco Tuck Shop, the Eco Pop Corn maker come with an BENBEN Solar powered Electric Bike, the Cut n Go, the Chesa Nyama (Buy & Braai) and the Wash & Go are available with an Eco-Bike or are also available as handcarts.
One of the biggest problems for street traders is being able to move to where their customers are easily and cheaply. All our products come with an electric bike so you can go wherever you want whenever you want, and it won’t cost you a cent. That means the trader can move around during the day and follow their customers without having to pack everything up and pay for taxis.

BENBEN Eco-Solar Tuck Shop

A major advantage of the BENBEN Eco-Solar Tuck Shop is that because it has built in electricity supply to power the motor, we use the electricity to power low voltage LED lights making all their goods clearly visible, even when it isn’t daylight.

BENBEN Eco-Chesa Nyama (Buy & Braai)

The BENBEN Chesa Nyama allows the typical street Chef the ability to move from place to place depending on where their customers are. In the morning they are typically near the taxi ranks and bus stops but because they have to light their fires in old oil drums or the like they are unable to move easily.
The Chesa Nyama allows them to easily move without having to stop their cooking. It is impossible for them to take the oil drum or braai on a taxi to go to where their customers have gone to. The Chesa Nyama allows them to trade throughout the day wherever they want to, and at no cost.

BENBEN Eco-Popcorn Maker

As per the other Eco-Vending products of the BENBEN Eco-Popcorn Maker is extremely cost efficient, that is because it has built in electricity supply to power the motor for the bike and the Popcorn making unit, we use the electricity to power low voltage LED lights making all their goods clearly visible, even when it isn’t daylight.

BENBEN Eco-Wash and Go

As per the other Eco-Vending products of the BENBEN Eco-Wash and Go mobile power cleaning unit is extremely cost efficient, that is because it has built in electricity supply to power the motor for the bike and the Power washer.
Gone are the days of using buckets of dirty water and old cloths or sponges to clean their customers cars or bakkies. The Eco-Wash and Go has an integrated Power Washer
The Eco-Wash and Go allows the street trader to clean as efficiently as the local garage or Wash Bay the Karcher Power washer is world renowned and is importantly extremely efficient and uses far less water than a hose or other water source. Water is one of our most valuable commodities and the Eco-Wash and Go helps save the environment.

BENBEN Eco-Cut and Go

Very similar to the Chesa Nyama the street barber or hairdresser sets up his tent and carries his car battery to the taxi rank or bus terminal and is pretty much restricted to staying there all day. If he wants to move, he has to take it all down, pick up his heavy and awkward car battery to move to another site and this is both difficult and means he has to pay for more taxi fares.
The Eco-Cut and Go allows him to move easily and frequently taking him to where his customers may be. Now he can park outside a factory or office block, cut some hair then move on to be where more of his customers might be. This dramatically increases his income and allows him to have an edge over barber shops and static street hairdressers..
